Commencement Ceremony: 2024 Batch B Pharm

The Commencement Ceremony for the B Pharm 2024 batch took place on October 9, 2024, marking a significant milestone for the graduates. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest P K Harikumar, former Senior Manager at KSDPL, Alappuzha, who shared invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of the pharmacy profession. Chairman K M Moosa Hajji delivered an inspiring presidential address, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and lifelong learning. The ceremony celebrated not only the achievements of the graduates but also welcomed them into the Al Azhar family, fostering a sense of community and commitment to excellence in their future endeavors.

The farewell party for the 2nd year D.Pharm batch students was held on October 1, 2024, organized by the juniors of the 2022 batch. The event included memory sharing by both students and teachers, celebrating the journey and accomplishments of the seniors.

Al Azhar College of Pharmacy celebrated Pharmacist Day 2024 on September 25, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Under the theme “Pharmacist: Meeting Global Health Needs,” the event featured a variety of engaging programs. Students participated in a lively quiz competition that tested their knowledge of pharmacy and global health issues. They also showcased their creativity through poster presentations focused on the theme, highlighting the crucial role pharmacists play in addressing healthcare challenges. Additionally, a thought-provoking debate was held on the impact of AI technology in the pharmacy profession, where students explored the opportunities and challenges presented by this emerging field.

Al Azhar College of Pharmacy celebrated Onam 2024 with vibrant cultural events that showcased the rich traditions of Kerala. The festivities commenced with a lively Shingari Melam, setting a joyous tone for the day. Inaugurated by M.D. Adv. Mijas K. M., the celebration featured a variety of Onam-related games that engaged students and faculty alike. The highlight of the event was the traditional Sadya, a grand feast that brought everyone together to savor authentic Onam dishes, fostering a sense of community and cultural appreciation.

Al Azhar College of Pharmacy organized an impactful awareness program aimed at educating the community on a critical social or health-related issue. The event included a poster presentation, where students and faculty creatively displayed key information through visual aids. This initiative allowed participants to effectively communicate complex concepts, raise awareness, and engage in discussions.

Al Azhar College of Pharmacy conducted a Faculty Development Programme on September 7th, which was attended by all faculty members. The session featured a workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence: A Tool in Teaching," led by Mr. Derik Thomas, CEO of Excitone Technologies. The workshop focused on the integration of AI in education, exploring its potential to enhance teaching methodologies and improve the learning experience. Faculty members found the session highly informative and relevant, offering new perspectives on incorporating advanced technology into their teaching practices.

A live session for the 6th semester B.Pharm students was conducted on September 6th, 2024, by Ed-Hoc Overseas Education. The session provided valuable insights into opportunities for higher education abroad, guiding students on international academic programs, admission procedures, and scholarship options. It was an informative event aimed at helping students explore their future academic and career prospects beyond national boundaries.
