It’s a branch of Pharmacy concerned with the preparation, use or sale of medicinal drugs. Natural molecules now occupy an increasingly important place in pharmaceutics. It is the discipline of Pharmacy that deals with all facets of the process of turning a new chemical entity into a safe and effective medication. Our department focuses mainly on the following areas

Drug delivery: Drug delivery refers to the technology utilize to present the drug to the desired body site for drug release and absorption
Biopharmaceutics: It is the study of absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination of drug and it is useful to improve the outcome of drug therapies and assist drug product development
Pharmacokinetics: It is the study of activity of drugs in the body over a period of time.

The department of Pharmaceutics is constituted by eminent professionals and dedicated trainers with enormous teaching experience and skills. The Department of Pharmaceutics strive to become a centre of excellence in academia, research, and drug development with the objective of developing novel drug delivery systems with cost effective for efficient medication compliance. The department is equipped with latest version equipment and focuses on teaching, research and health services. The department engulfs a Model of a Pharmaceutical industry with an eclectic set of manufacturing equipment and machines. We offer a training environment which includes newer formulation laboratory instrumentation and technologies monitored by our experienced and dedicated staffs. Pharmaceutics is the one of the major branches of pharmacy that deals with the facts of the process of developing from a new chemical entity into a medication which will be able to safely and effectively used by patients. The department of pharmaceutics regarded as one of the disciplines in teaching and research of drug formulations, drug delivery and biopharmaceutical assessment which includes the design, preparation, formulations and assessing of drug release studies of various release models and targeted drug delivery system. The department of Pharmaceutics provides a complete practical knowledge about operating machines like rotary tablet compression machine, driers, mills, blenders, collapsible tube filling machine, blister packing machine, tablet coating machine, ampoule filling and sealing machine which helps the students gain practical knowledge and understand the current trends in the industries.
