An Awareness Programme in connection with World Leprosy Day 2026 was conducted on 30 January 2026 at 9:30 AM with the theme “Leprosy is Curable, the Real Challenge is Stigma.” The programme aimed to create awareness among students about leprosy, its treatment, and the importance of eliminating social stigma associated with the disease.

The session was handled by Arun Chandramohan, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice. During the session, he explained the causes, symptoms, transmission, diagnosis, and treatment of Leprosy, emphasizing that it is a completely curable disease when diagnosed and treated early.
